Re: Multi media
Wed, November 17, 2004 - 6:24 AMI havent done anything too complicated, or with high-end computer parts or stereo eqpt. I bought a vid card that has s-video out and I got a long headphone sized cord and an adapter from the small headphonejack to rca left and right. I had a monitor hooked up to the pc durring setup, to get everything working right, insuring I could read the text (I dont have an hdtv, the text is kinda fuzzy on my tv)
I routed it through a multi-game system swithbox by Pelican. Now I press the right button, and I have video and sound on my tv and stereo. If I need to adgust anything in the computer, I typically use Remote Pc, as its easier than bringing in the monitor, or squinting. -

Wed, November 17, 2004 - 6:26 AMAlso, I use a free program called Slimserver by slim devices to stream my mp3s to the livingroom. I can adjust the playlist from any webbrowser on my network. Pretty cool stuff. -

Wed, November 17, 2004 - 9:04 PMOK ...
I have mine hooked up to my reciever, and the bass sucks! I was wondering if anyone had any luck with this item:
us.creative.com/products/product.asp
Or if there was a card I coule use. Right now I am using the sound on my KHT Neo motherboard.
Also I have HDTV, but not the hookup so mine is fuzzy too... I will keep you posted on that one as I get more info.:)
Thanks Ivan:) -

Thu, November 18, 2004 - 6:45 AMDoes that board use SoundMax audio? I was having a similiar problem, and my mic wasnt working right. I uninstalled the soundmax drivers and downloaded the new ones from my motherboard manufactureres webpage. Works great now.
I havent used that Creative item. -

Mon, April 4, 2005 - 12:48 PMThis may seem like overkill, but you folks may want to consider since you have already gone (in some cases) the HDTV route:
